500ml bottle [as "Brehon Rising Oatmeal Stout]. Quasi black colour with average to huge, firm, frothy, osteoporosing, beige head. Roasty, dark malty aroma, minimally dusty notes of cocoa, hints of coffee, a touch of rasted nuts. Taste is roasty dark malty, hints of cocoa, dark chocolate, coffee, toffee, subtle sweetness, minimally metallic overtones; slightly overcarbonated.

Bottle from O’Brien’s, Athlone [190616]
Black, frothy beige head, no lacing
Aroma - Slight roast, very little on the nose
Taste of soft roast, some coffee grounds, light burnt notes, dark malts
Palate - Medium carb and body, some bitter roast. Finish of roasted malts, dab of burnt toast, roasty finish
Overall - Roasty stout with little aroma - probably better cask looking at the other reviews here
