On tap at the brewery pours out hazy dark brown almost black topped with a tan head. Nose is chocolate toast malts and some ash. Taste is more of the nice sweet chocolate ash and roast malts.

On tap at the Boise BP. Nitro. Clear deep reddish brown with a tight beige nitro head. Mild and light roast flavors. Mellow and smooth.

Draft at Bardenay. Normal pour, black with thin head that fades. Aroma is chocolate first, some toast grains follow. Taste brings more chocolate, some mellow sweetness, gentle bitterness. Very subdued, very drinkable
