18/6/2018. Bottle from Die Bierothek, Leipzig. Pours almost black with a small beige head. Aroma of liquorice, chocolate, dried fruits and roasted malt. Moderate sweetness with medium to heavy roasted bitterness, and a hint of sour. Full bodied, oily texture, average carbonation.

"Gourmet"-Flascherl: Very deep amber coloured with an almost invisible ruby sheen, very stable and creamy tanned head; sweet-sourish nose of dried berries and dark malt with some certain chocolatey traces; moderate sourish-sweetish flavour, at least medium bodied, very creamy MF; chocolatey traces - again - in the fruity and caramelly-wheat finish. Really a good one...

Bottle. Hazy amber color with off-white head. Aroma is straw, caramel, bubblegum, chocolate, bananas. Taste is bubblegum, caramel, roasted flavors in the back, something I am not too fond of in Dunkelweizen. Oily mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Certainly well-made, but not the type of Dunkelweizen I adore. Decent.

(bottle, 33cl) Dark brown colour with a beige and firm tall foamy head. Dark and mildly roasted malty, moderately wheaty aroma with notes of chocolate, toffee and phenolic spices. Bitter-sweet flavor with delicate tartness, medium bodied with a well-carbonated mouthfeel. Mildly roasted malty and slightly wheaty tart taste with present notes of chocolate, toffee and subtle accents of dried fruits; bitter-sweet and slightly tart finish with notes of dark chocolate in the aftertaste. Good. 02.XI.17
