Draft as part of flight at the breeey. Dark black pour and tan head. Nose is ash and dark fruits. Tastes of plum, fig, ash, chocolate, molasses. Medium bodied.

Draft at the source. Dark brown, tan head. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, lactose notes. Faint ash.

Taster at Boise brewpub. Near black pour, small ring of beige head. aroma is roast grain bitterness, coffee, burnt toast. Taste is more of the same, chocolate, wooden notes.

On tap at the brewery pours out a black topped with a tan head. Nose is nice coffee roast malts some ashtray notes and a wood touch. Taste is more of the roast malts ash a little dark chocolate. The best of the bunch at this point.

On Tap at teh Boise Boise brewery/taproom Deep dark brown with a tan head. Lots of chocolate and medium dark rpast aroams and flavors. Full bodied and smooth palate and soft roasted finish. Not very "dry" but Very good.
