Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear yellow gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet grains and Belgian yeast with a bit of date and raisin underlying. Flavor has sweet grains with a touch of bread, Belgian yeast and a date note that grows through the finish.

On tap at Brasserie Saint James, pours a hash golden with a small white head. Aroma is fairly subdued, with candi sugar, light booze and gentle Belgian yeast complexity. Flavour is full of fusel alcohols, some bizarre earthy mustiness, and sugars. Nowhere close to resembling a proper tripel. Chaotic, boozy and estery. Poor.

750ml bottle thanks to Jake. Medium golden with a nice one finger white head. Belgian yeast in the aroma, like a good tripel should be. More of the yeast in the taste, a few savory notes, light floral accents. Decent.
