Half-litre bottle via Beers of Europe: BB 16th Jul 2021. Drank in my back garden on 29th May 2021. Hazy mahogany body, large beige head that stayed around. Malty, wheaty and tasty. Light banana and spicy notes in the aroma which follow on into the malty flavour. Nice!

Bottle picked up from Edeka Getränkemarkt, Kelheim and consumed at home Sunday 11th October 2020. Pours murky brown with a white head, soft mouthfeel, banana, nice tanginess, pleasant full flavoured Dunkles Hefe Weisse, there is a light dusty hoppiness, really soft. Good.

Pours hazy brown, with a dense light-greyish head, not too big per style. Good enough retention, little lacing. Not too intense but well defined aroma shows a soft dough base (with a dark bread twist), brown sugar, bubblegum, faint clove. Taste follows the aroma closely, with spiciness perhaps a little more vivid. Medium to high sweetness and low to medium bitterness. Overall averagely sweet per style. Medium bodied with medium carbonation (carbonation is perhaps a little sub-par for the style). Very typical dunkelweizen, with a slightly lighter/easier feeling to it. Overall enjoyable, but i was left unimpressed.

Trübe bräunliche Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, röstmalziger, leicht fruchtiger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, leicht röstmalzig, leicht hefig, Anklänge an Banane. Mittlere Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer weicher Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Way underappreciated style. Malty sweetness with some banana, light and smooth. Nice.

Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Hazy amber/brown body with a thick beige head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of brown sugar, copper and tea. Flavour of red apple and rusty metal. Medium body with a creamy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. This is excellent - it’s smooth and full flavoured.

Cloudy brown with a large off-white head of good retention. Aroma: banana, toast, apples, distant clove. Light body. Moderate carbonation. Taste: medium dry, fruity. Caramel malts, toast, banana, clove. Low bitterness. A good and classic style example.
