Draft at the source. Dark brown, beige head. Roasted malt, chocolate, oak, syrupy, lactose. Finish is sweet.

Draft at brewpub. Pretty solid porter, but this brewery has a way with the style ( not so with the Belgian). Dark brown with a thin skin of tan head. Chocolaty, roast grain aroma. Taste is also chocolaty, mildly sweet, burnt toast. Good porter.

On tap at edge boise pours out a dark brown topped with a small tan head. nose is roast malts coffee some sweetness chocolate. Taste is more thin roast chocolate and some odd end maybe the rye.

On Tap at Bitter Creek, Boise Black witha full creamy tan head. Light roast chocolate aromas with some sweet light roast and chocolaty coffee flavors. If this traded some of its FG points for some IBUs I think it would be better. A light and failry sweet sipper. Not unpleasant.
