Bottle from Brewers Haven. Pours a deep, shimmering golden color… lots of bubbles and a thick finger of creamy white head. Soft aroma is sweet, lightly fruity. A little grain and grass, but relatively mild in smell. The taste is also rather mild, mostly sweet. Flavors of grain, grass, and a little fruity. Some lingering pithy bitterness in the end, but very minimal. Not sure what is going on here, but it doesn’t much resemble a pils.

Draft at brewery. Sampled on opening night, and retrying to see if there is any improvement. Tastes better, but is more lager than pils. No sign of the hops anywhere. Grainy, bready. Slick and slippery, but no crisp back bite. Nowhere near a pils. Not bad, but not in target for style. Rerate 9/3/17. Still comes off more as a lager, but pretty tasty. Not hoppy enough for a pils.

On Tap at the Brewery. rather hazy dingy light yellow. Full foamy robust and chunky off white head. Hoppy and bitter for the style I think. Pale light malt but still more a vehicle for the IBUs. A good beer I think, and "lighter" yes, just quite robust and bitter.

On tap at bier thirty. Pours out a nice looking clear crisp golden topped with a white head. Nose is very odd cereal malts peanut butter hop kick some spice. Taste is more of the heavy cereal malt a big grapefruit pithy bitterness. This is not close to a pilsner. Wow this is not a good beer to open with.
