22oz bottle thanks to Stevoj pours out crisp amber copper color topped with a tan head. Nose is nice big American barley wine hops sweet caramel and bourbon barrel notes. Taste is more of the nice sweet malts caramel toffee and a well balanced bourban note.

Draft at brewery. Dark, hazy brown with small, tight creamy beige head. Soft, gentle sweet aroma. Taste adds the hops, some tang, strong malt presence. Warmth creeps in slowly. Not as sweet as some, not as boozy as some, but a solid barley wine in the English style.

On Tap at the Boise brewery Clear deep redish amber mahogany. Moderate tan head. Soapy and clinging lacing. Mild soft slightly sweet malt body. This cant be near the claimed 90IBUs. The 9%ABV also seems generous. Malty woody with some brown sugar. Smooth and hefty palate. Nice, just not very aggressive.
