Bottle from 2016 Boise stone fruit tasting on 8/27, 750ml bottle thanks to Steven Whatever was being attempted here failed miserably. Ice tea flavors, light fruit notes, not enough sourness. Bad bottle perhaps? Not a good way to celebrate your anniversary.

Bottle share, thanks to Steven. Pours a yellow straw color with a moderate white head. Aroma is sour, a bit musty, some oak. Flavor is pretty muddled… kinda like an old barleywine with cardboard malts faded into oblivion, more musty elements, just a touch of faded peach. I didn’t get the heat or pepper notes at all, probably would have improved the experience too. Bummer.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy light yellow with a thick white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweet peach and musty peach with a light funk note a decent amount of oak and a hint of peppers. Flavor has a seer peach note with a good amount of oak and an odd light pepper note.

Capped 750 from Belmont Station. Pours hazy dishwatery gold with a transient white head. Instant aroma is pepper, then a not exactly brett earth/funk, then something like fruit I don’t usually smell/taste. Med body or nearly. Flavor is pepper/paper/funk with some fruits. Pepper burns in the gullet. Fruit turns to to light stone fruit. I can believe apricot. Don’t know what to say. It’s drinkable, but it’s .... Finishes earth/funk/pepper.

Draught at Apex, Portland
Cloudy blond color. The aroma is sour and footy. Prominently sour, with some fruitiness, passion fruit, lemon, and some lemon peel. Astringent in the final.
Aggressive, not elegant, but interesting.

750 mL bottle pour shared at a tasting. Pours a cloudy dark yellow with a big fizzy head. Big fruity, wine aroma with some apples and melon. Flavor is sweet and spicy with a lot of apricot. The spice comes through, but very mild but flavorful. Kinda has a spicy cider feel to it. High carb. Gets better and better as I go. Very unique beer but overall, a fun, good beer.
