On tap at abv. Pours a reddish black color with a small white head. A malty smoky roast nose. The flavor is big sweet malts, smoky, cherries, caramel, toffee. Very interesting and good. Awesome.

On tap at Black Friday. Nice looking pour, welcoming aroma of chocolate and roast grains. Taste comes on strong, heavy on the roast grain bitterness, hints of chocolate, medium weight, slightly sticky. Smooth, tons of bitterness and alcohol, but in manageable quantities. Well rounded RIS.

Sample at City Beer Store. Pours brownish-black with a medium tan head that recedes gradually. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, bourbon and chocolate. Full-bodied with flavors of charred malt, dark chocolate and bourbon. The finish is mildly boozy with a chocolate malt aftertaste. Good beer overall.

This is a rating for "IMP". There is no ChIMP. Tap at the taproom. Pours "black" with a creamy tan head. Aroma is sort of chocolate treacle. Full bodied. Thick. Rather bitter. Flavor is dark chocolate, dark malt, dark treacle. Very thin alcohol trail. Extremely delicious.
