On Tap at the Boise Brewery Clear deep redish amber with a thick soapy light tan head. Chunky lasting lacing. Rather bold and sharp for the style. Definitely jazzed up. Some woody light toasted maltiness but a decent fresh hop bite.

Growler fill from brewery. Beautiful pour, dark burnished wood body with an amazing fluffy head. Aroma seems like a normal amber at first, but then the taste kicks in with all sorts of caramel nuttiness. Then you start to appreciate the aroma and can detect the subtle nuances. Finish is mildly sweet and dry, tasty stuff, a benchmark for the style.

On tap at Boise Brewing pub. Pours out a nice amber topped with a small sand head. Nose is light roast some rich malts a little pine hop. Taste is more of the light roast malt a touch of pine hops.
