Have had this from can and on tap. Pours out a hazy orangeish amber topped with a sand head. Nose is nice heavy hops caramel sweetness and some tropical fruit. Taste is more of the sweet caramel malt along with a nice hop bitterness and some pine.

On tap at Cole brewpub. Cloudy orange amber with silky head. Pretty subdued for a 9.2% beer, although finish stings a bit. Perhaps served a bit too cold, character may evolve as temperature settles. Malt comes through the hop overload in the aroma, but the hops obliterate them in the taste. Sharp finish.

On tap at the original Boise BP. Deep orange with a small but dense sandy colored head. Big citrus peel aroma. Huge resiny citrus flavor. Quite sweet and heavy palate. Long lingering classic west coast IPA bitter trailer. Very smooth and slick with soft carbonation.

Courtesy of Jeremy. Thanks for trucking this down from Boise. Bomber pours copper with off white head. The aroma has grapefruit hops, more citrus notes and a decent load of butterscotch. The taste has pleasing notes of grapefruit hops and pine hops that come together in harmony. I get a bit of butterscotch coming into the picture about midway as well as growing notes of resiny bitter hoppiness heading into the finish.

Bottle - thanks BuckeyeBoy! Pours a dark amber color with a little haze and a modest sandy head. Sweet, intoxicating aroma of resiny, piney, and floral hops. Tastes hoppy enough, mostly floral, and some light malty sweetness. Has the grassy, dirty floral thing going on. Really reminds me of a bigger version of the original, which is good. I love the was double dagger smells, but I’d lean towards drinking the original on a daily basis...
