On tap at Cloud 9, pours a deep dark red with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, a little fruitiness. Flavour is along the same lines, with fruitiness and toasted malt. Like all Cloud 9 beers, this is undercarbonated and lacking oomph.

On tap at the boose NB Black with a full and dense tan head. Faint pale tasty aroma lots of roast and a touch of ash in the dark flavors. Some last night campfire and a touch of bitter chocolate. Very light and fairly dry light bodied Nice roasty beer with out the big heavy stout body.

What would you get if you mixed half a schwarzbier with half a sweet stout? This. Body leans towards a lager, bot any roastiness from the dark grains is tempered by the sweetness of the other half. Not sure what was trying to be accomplished, but it didn’t work too well.
