2013 version on tap at CF taproom. Barrel aging comes to the forefront at first whiff. Dark and slick with small beige head. Aroma of wood, molasses, peat. Warmth immediately present on first sip. Taste is same as aroma, and slightly sweeter than a normal stout, no bitterness. A real nice Christmas Eve sipper.

On tap at the brewery clear dark brown with a thin wispy light tan head. Served very cold but aroma of soft dark roast and sweet pitted fruit. Sweet roasty flavors and some more molasses prunes and raisins. Touch of chocolate and earthy holiday spice. Soft carbonation and a moderate light palate. Tasty.
