Can at home. Black with creamy light tan head. Sweet deep roasted chocolate malts, dark chocolate, hoppy, grassy, light herbal, dark berry fruits, blackberries, licorice, burnt match heads. Big sweet and moderate bitter. Over medium body and soft carbonation.

Can at home from Amsterdam, 17th February 19. Pours black, quite thin, but as expected for the ABV. Aroma is coconut, cocoa, chocolate, Sorachi is present. Taste is coconut, cocoa, Sorachi Ace elements, light bitter, vanilla. Very smooth and well balanced stout, love the use of Sorachi, which made me pick this one up.

Can. Black pour. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, malt and fruity vanilla. Taste of nice fruity sorachi ace, yuzu, chocolate, licorice, malt and some coffee. Seems a tiny bit oxidised, but the sorachi works nice in this stout as always.

Can from European Local Swap 1/2019, thank you Mallorn! Shared @ Seavans tasting. Dark brown pour with some beige foam. Nose has some berries, interestingly fruity, light melted chocolate. Tastes lightly bitter, light cocolate and bit of bitter cacao. Grassy herbal Sorachi Ace there with a stout roast... works well for me. Roasty dry finish.

33cl Can from Vonk. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of some roast and Sorachi Ace hops, vanilla, oak. Flavour is medium sweet, malty, roast, vanilla, Sorachi Ace, giving the suggestion of subtle barrel-ageing, bitter finish. Light bodied. Decent, but expected more after the first few ratings.

Sampled draft @ In De Wildeman. Black, creamy lacing mocha head. Nose is lovely Sorachi Ace blue cheese, coffee, chocolate. Very nice taste of chocolate, sweet mocha, sweet malt & big Sorachi Ace hop blue cheese, thick, very nice beer.

Draft at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam. Black with a thick tan head. Aroma of sorachi ace coming out upfront, grassy, dark chocolate, caramel and light roast. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.
