A big-bodied beer with a pleasing aroma of pumpkin and nutmeg.

Pale Ale, Wheat, and Light Munich malts combine with the natural tannin in pumpkin and the delicate spiciness of Saphir and Hallertau Hops to balance the sweetness of the fruit.

This beer is best enjoyed at 55 degrees Fahrenheit.

Bottled 650ml. -at O’Hara Zagreb. Golden coloured, minimal white head, light perfumy nose. Sweet malty, alcoholic, unbalanced presence of cinnamon and sugar with some caramel in rather sweet and sticky finish. Not my type.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Naama’s place. Thanks zvikar. Clear orange. Aroma of lots of pumpkin, honey, cinnamon and nutmeg. Sweet flavor with pumpkin, caramel, honey, lots of spices, alcohol and a drier, spicy-bitterish finish. Medium-bodied, a bit sticky.

Tap at Pony Bar. Rich pumkin pie nose, meaty malts and flesh, nice spice. Rich and sweet, with lots of piue fulling and spice. Good stuff, but a little too much.

12 ounce bottle from Wine Warehouse. Pours a clear copper color with a thin frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of pumpkin, spice, caramel, vanilla, mild hints of apple and toast. The taste is pumpkin, toasted malt, vanilla, caramel, apple and a strong spice finish. Medium bodied, strong lingering spice. Solid beer.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, 2014 vintage bottling. Pours crystal clear golden orange color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, toast, honey, light biscuit, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of pumpkin, spices, and moderate pale malt sweetness; with solid strength. Taste of big pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, honey, toast, biscuit, herbal/yeast earthiness. Fair amount of earthy spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, honey, toast, biscuit, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and balance of pumpkin, spices, and moderate pale malt sweetness; with a great malt/spice balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a smooth and fairly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice imperial pumpkin ale. All around good complexity and balance of pumpkin, spices, and moderate pale malt sweetness; and very smooth to sip on for the big ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

65 cl bottle, 9%. Obvious orange color, hazed. Nose of melon, banana, watermelon, apricot, peach. Aroma instead is a fuckload of nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger and ealr grey tea. Taste is mostly sweetish with some bitterness balance in the finish. Medium body, low carbonation. Alcoholic finish, spiced, fairly dry. I find this one very sticky and difficult to throw down. Sadly annoying, lots of promises right off the cap, then failure in the mouth.

Bottle at Craig’s. It pours deep amber with a decent white head. The nose is sweet, sugary, butternut squash, pumpkin, candy and veg. The taste is bitter-sweet, pumpkin, squash, some acidity, candy and sugar with a dry, sort if sweet finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty sweet and sugary... Not for me.
