The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts strong, quite malty, then more and more spicy, also some wheaty notes. Finish a little bit metallically and dry, somehow hard. But all in all very drinkable. Good one!

bottle from Bierzwerg. Clear golden colour with a mid-sozed head. Malty nose. Intensively malty with a hint of caramel and dried fruit. Herbal-resiny hoppy in the finish. Well-balanced Märzen!

Ceramic mug. Crazy aroma - full rich rye bread. There’s obviously diacetyl in this, but it melds fairly well with breadcrusty, chewy dark malts. The body suffers a little bit from the diacetyl but retains quite a bit of rich, charamelized chewiness, such that it is more effective than it ought to be.

2011-02-11, draught at the brauhaus, 5-4-6-3-12=30
Golden color; creamy head. The aroma is simple, some paper-vanilla. The body is smooth, with sweetish caramel flavor, some malt too; correct bitterness. Easy.

2009-02-12, draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 7-3-6-3-14=33
Blond color; creamy head; nice lace. Grainy brew, both the aroma and the flavor, some malt flavor, rounder than most Pilseners and more bitter than most Märzen. Pleasant.
