Draught. Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is grassy, cooked vegetables, some malts and mild saltwatery notes. Flavour is quite the same with the grass and hops being the strongest components.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 4 Oct) Pale amber colour, remarkably clear, with white frothy head. Malty nose with notes of caramel, toast and apricots. Full, malty taste with caramel, dark fruit and dark rye bread. Slightly sweet. Metallic, bitter finish. Medium to full body. Lots of character without straying too far from the middle of the road.

(bottle, from the brewery) Clear, deep golden to light-amber colour with a medium-sized foamy white head with nice lace. Moderately sweet malty, slightly toasted aroma with notes of citrus and a touch of herbal hops. Initially sweet and toast-malty taste with a honeyish fruitiness; medium-dry malty, slightly bitter and hoppy finish. Once again I prefer the counterpart brewed by Hummel.

Tap (in the beer garden): Deep golden coloured, small but lacing firm head; deep aromatic hoppy nose; mild, slightly sweetish, slightly bitter flavour; medium bodied, velvet MF; short, sweetish-malty, lingering bitter finish. Great start, average finish...........

Ah but Joris, it is a very nice Marzen :-) It starts with the looks: Hazy amber with moderate carbonation, big foamy tanned lacing head. Bready, some dried tropical fruit aroma, herbal and aromatic hops. Fruity and honeyish malts, some perfumed notes and a elegant dry herbal finish. Solid chewy mouthfeel, bready and herbal aftertaste.

Draught Orange, pale-amber beer, good white head, not stable. Fresh, flowery nose, touch of apricot-like fruitiness, sweet but not offputting. Quite sweet, bready, sweetbread, nearly honey-ish, and a touch of hops in the finish. Medium body, velvety MF. Nice, sweet, but lovely. Probably very nourishing too. Joss got lyric over this, had to drag him out of the pub.

Sampled draught at Brauerei Wagner, Merkendorf.
Pale amber, not much head. Nicely malty and rather soft, yet dry. Clean with rather bitter finish.
