Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Very black, small beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate and coffee. Medium sweet with dense malt. Lots of heavily roasty ground coffee. Long salty bitterness. Typical Baltic Porter with it’s simple but powerful flavour, that otherwise less interesting brewers seem to master. This is really good! Laitilan Wirvoitusjuomatehdas are certainly moving in the right direction!

500ml bottle, thanks to Finn. Frothy, fawn coloured head, with medium retention and fragile laceworks, resting on a black-brown body. Chocolate malts to the nose added a peaty touch. Roasted sweet dark malts in flavour mixed with a dash of anise leading to an ending of bitter coffee notes. The first glass is highly drinkable. However, after a while in the glass this Finish Porter lost most of its distinctive smell and taste(at home, 04.07.2008).

Pours clear deep amber with thin tan head. The aroma is mildly musty dark fruitiness, some mild molasses and a nice load of roastiness. The taste is a bit thinner and meeker than I expected. I get nice burnt notes mixing with roasty malts. The dark fruity esters are more mild than the nose led onto but with ample amounts of grape, dark berries and plums. All these notes come together in harmony creating a pleasant experience.

500ml Bottle - Black in colour with a lively tan head. Coffee and chocolate in the aroma with some appealing roasted notes. Slightly smoky and burnt taste with coffee and plain chocolate also featuring. Very smooth and easy to drink with pleasant bitterness in the finish. Rather delicious. Excellent! More like this pleae, Laitilian!

Bottle 0,5l. Dark red brown colored. A beige creamy head that lasted a few minutes. Inviting aroma of coffee & chocolate. Surprisingly easy to drink. Flavor of roasted malt with some bitterness setting in. Dry aftertaste of coffee. An OK porter but a bit leightweight. KI=3

Bottled(500ml). -Deep black coloured, medium sized pale brown head that went away very slowly, roasted coffee nose. Roasted malt and roasted coffee taste with slight sweet notes of licorice and chocolate. Notes of nuts in the finish. Good porter but nothing more than that.

Almost black beer with quite rich beige head. Aroma is roasted and dry. Flavour is also very roasted but there is also some liquirice. There is little too much carbonation but body is strong enough to make this pleasant to drink. This would need more complexisity in the flavour. But anyway nice beer and maybe we see better Kukko beers in the future.
