Mit diesem Bier haben wir vor gut 5 Jahren die Lücke in unserem Sortiment geschlossen. Es wurde erstmals anlässlich des 75. Geburtstages unseres Senior-Chefs Richard Wagner gebraut und ist seitdem fester Bestandteil. Sein Stammwürzegehalt von 13,2% verleiht dem Bier seinen kernigen Charakter und einen Alkoholgehalt von 5,5%. Der für dunkle Biere typische malzige Geschmack wird durch feinsten Aromahopfen abgerundet.

Bottle. Nice brown-amber color with beige head. Aroma is chocolae, a touch butter, grassy hops. Taste is chocolate, a touch butter, nice bitterness and hoppiness as well. Oily mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Moreish, a very good Dunkles!

500ml Bottle - Dark brown with red tinges. Raisins, plums and some vinous notes in the aroma. Raisins, caramel, blackcurrant,malt and chocolate can all be detected in the taste. Enjoyable and easy to drink.

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, brownish, nice head. Starts malty-dry, a bit smokey-roasty, bitter background. Modest sourish. Finish milder, more balanced. Okay.

Draught @ BBF16. Pours clear darkish amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel with a touch of fruit. Sweetish, malty and fruity flavour with subtle notes of hops and caramel. Mild, slightly bitter finish. OK.

50cl from tap @ Moe’s sportsbar, Bamberg. Copper, cola-ish colour with a small off-white head. Smells malty, some liquorice.. Not a lot of smell. Tastes mostly iron, some malts and a hint of liquorice in the aftertase. Again: easy to drink, thin to medium body, nice carbo.
