Mit diesem Bier haben wir vor gut 5 Jahren die Lücke in unserem Sortiment geschlossen. Es wurde erstmals anlässlich des 75. Geburtstages unseres Senior-Chefs Richard Wagner gebraut und ist seitdem fester Bestandteil. Sein Stammwürzegehalt von 13,2% verleiht dem Bier seinen kernigen Charakter und einen Alkoholgehalt von 5,5%. Der für dunkle Biere typische malzige Geschmack wird durch feinsten Aromahopfen abgerundet.

Draught at BBF13. Good spicy hop aroma. Clear brown colour. Big stable tan head. The flavour is malty with a good spicy hop and distinct bitterness to balance.

Bottle @ DØE meeting. Pours dark golden with a offwhite head. Aroma of roasted malts, grain, chocolate, grass. ´Flavour is malts, corn, grain, light sugary, grassy. Thin body, lively carbonation. 190912

Bottle from a REWE in Forchheim. Copper coloured with a slight, off-white head and a few bubbles. Slightly bready malts, with a touch of sharp fruit, leafy hops and a gently bitter finish. Very drinkable for the ABV.

Bottle @ Uncle Chris’ house in Fürth. Burnt orange/brown appearance with a small light brown head. Toasty malty, light cardboard, herbal aroma. A little fruity, toasty, light caramel, fairly malty, lightly metallic, floral flavor. Ok though it may be a bit old.

Bottled (thanks Timo A!). Deep nutbrown/amber colour with a small beige head. Aroma is caramel, nutty, some dark fruityness as well as some slight toasted notes. Flavour is rather similar, but has a rather thin palate.

Amber color with chestnut shades; creamy head. The aroma has some light perfumy vanilla. Caramel flavor, little residual sweetness (just enough to smoother the body); quite strong bitterness. Easy.
