Das ungespundete Lagerbier ist eine Spezialität die es nur in Bamberg und seinem Landkreis gibt. Mit einem Stammwürzegehalt von 12,7 % ist es ein sehr kernig schmeckendes Bier. Der Alkoholgehalt beträgt 5,3 %. Auf Grund der ungespundeten Lagerung ist es ein Kohlensäure armes süffiges Bier. Eine gekonnte Hopfengabe aus Aromahopfen machen es zur einem sehr beliebten Bier der Brauerei Wagner.

Bottle. Pours clear golden. Aroma is butter, some grains, floral. Body is lightish, softly sweet, lively but lowish carbonation, decently bitter. Rather uneventful, but gentle and pleasant. Some nuts, still. Good.

Draft. Bready caramel malt and hay aroma. Cloudy amber with small head. Lightly sweet caramel malt, moderately sour citric acid, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Good body. Nice - tangy.

Bottle [from Euro Swap 2018-3 thanks to Rauchbierlover] @ home. Super clear golden color, average sized white head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma is malts, fresh hay. Taste malts, very clean and crisp, hay, light soft sweet grainy touch with a soft malt bitterness. Decent body, round light oily texture and soft carbonation. Very pleasant lager indeed!

Gravity cask at redlight during Zwanze. Hazy orange pour. Floral and grassy nose. Tastes bready, grass, floral light fruit. Good palate cleanser and refreshing

Tap @ zum Franziskaner. Poured golden color with a thick white head. Grainy, quite sweet. Balanced, malty, some hay. Bit too sweet for me.

Golden with a lasting white head. Malty aroma with fresh grain and biscuit along with DMS and green leaves. Sweet malty flavour with cereal and grain. Mild bitter finish.

Deep golden color. Slightly grassy but way too clean nose. The mouth is well balanced but too low bitterness and not dry enough. A touch of butter popcorn. Not bad but pretty middle of the road

Aroma of grains, grass, herbs, bread, earth, slight biscuit.
Tastes of grains, hay, bread, honey, some herbs, some earth,
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes moderate bitter, a bit dry, a bit sweet, grainy, grassy, herbal, a bit earthy, a bit spicy.
Nice one. Quaffable and clean, with nice grainy notes throughout and a smooth, sweet body. Not that outstanding though, a quite typical Franconian style example, which is still a really good beer of course.

Bottle shared at Leighton's place 31/01/2018. Many thanks! A clear golden orange coloured pour with a halo of white head. Aroma is nice sweet earthy honey, cereal grains, apple, nutty grains. Flavour is composed of semi sweet nice cereal malts, honey, hay, pollen, apple. Palate si semi sweet, moderate mellow carbonation. Nice. Bottle at home from land bier paradise. really nice, leafy hop, spicy, rustic cereal grains, Quality.
