500 ml bottle best before 10.2021. Unclear dark golden, small head. Mostly metallic notes, nuts, caramel, resin and pine. Metallic bitterness, malty sweetness. Medium bodied, oily watery texture, low carbonated, strong metallic bitter finish. Not sure if this is supposed to be like that or just a bad batch. Pretty unpleasant, too metallic and bitter. 2.3 Re-Rating 1/2/24. 500 ml bottle. Pours slight unclear amber orange with a foamy head. Caramel, grapefruit zest, metal, toasted bread, dried figs, nuts. Dry metallic bitterness, some sweetness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, dry zesty grainy bitter finish. Quite a characterful, crisp hoppy Franconian Vollbier, not bad!

Amber with a thin, frothy to creamy, white head. Aroma of mixed grains, caramel, Birnenwein. Taste is crisply bitter with a rich mix of roasted grain bitterness on a sweet and bready base. Faint tartness at the end. Medium bodied with the mild carbonation typical for an Ungespundet. A good example of the style, which I’ve recently begun to better appreciate. Goes great with a plate of smoked beef ribs!

Bottle picked up from HopDog, München and consumed at home Sunday 11th October 2020, cooking Coq au Vin with Smoked Potato Gratin, and Honey Roasted Carrots and Roasted Beetroot listening to The Murder Capital - When I Have Fears. Pours warm gold with a white head. Soft in the mouth very easy drinking with a slight fruity tang, nice beer if a tad simplistic.

Pours a clear light amber with a small white head. Decent persistence and hints of lacing. Pretty weak aroma: light breadish and slightly toasted malts, a floral hops twitch. Taste is a bit brighter luckily. A quite interesting malt profile: bready but also slightly toasted notes, with a hint of honeyish background sweetness. Floral, almost leafy, hoppiness brings balance and a dry finish, with a slight bitter edge to it. Overall this is surely bitter if compared to most examples of the style (but does this really fit any style? feels like some kind of a lighter, bitterish marzen). Light to medium bodied with very light, natural carbonation, resulting in an almost oily mouthfeel. Overall interesting and well made, but also a bit too lightish for me, in both intensity and mouthfeel; and that's even if compared to german standards. Fair, but didn't really catch me.

Bottle at home, from Hier-gibts-Bier, 10/07/20. Clear mid golden with a well presented off white cap. Nose is bread dough, light sugars, toasted malts, hint of dried fruits, straw. Taste comprises dried fruits, toffee, brown bread, earthy notes, brown sugar dusting. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Decent.

Flaska från Landbierparadis. I princip klar bärnstensfärgad vätska med lågt skum. Doft av jäst, säd, bröd, gräs och smör. Ganska smörig munkänsla och smak men också en hel del gräsig beska, röda äppelskal, toast och en kryddighet som drar åt snaps. Torr eftersmak. Trevlig.

Dark golden colour, thin layer of white foam. Sweet, malty along with some hoppy bitterness. Well balanced. Good Landbier.

Bottle, bought at the brewery. Light amber color. Light apple and grapes aroma. Very low on carbon. Light hoppy flavor, also with apple and grapes. Just a hint of oak. Medium bodied, with a touch of rest sweetness. Friendly Franconian lager with enough flavor to be pleasurable.
