Taste true liquid luxury in this decadent and nuanced Belgian-style quad. Pear and apricot aromas blend with caramel, fruit and spice flavors in the full-bodied amber ale.

Warming alcohol notes mix with a lot of fruity fermentation profile on the nose. Big and bold, this beer is a boozy, savory treat. Rich caramel, clove, banana warming.

Bottled on January 9th, 2006. Consumed the night of January 12, 2008. Aroma is yeast, citrus, dates/figs, spices, some alcohol and some copper. Pour is a muddy brown-orange hue with a frothy tan head. Taste is odd, almost like a strong nutmeg eggnog at first, not bad, but very different from what I assume was a Quadrupel attempt. A bit closer to a Tripel, but still not distinct. Mouthfeel wasn’t great for the style or price. Decent alcohol present on the finish.

Thanks to my friend Sam for passing this one on to me. Pours with a clear deep orange/amber body with a tightly packed head of off-white that laces nicely. Fruity Marzipan alcohol aroma. Sweet, thick, viscous, syrupy. Too cloying for me.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Cloudy roast red, brief head. Aroma of caramel and raspberries. Full bodied with rather clean mouthfeel. Potent and warming, salty with almondy yeast character and flowery notes. Hops comes through the yeast induced flavours giving it a resiny, really bitter finish. A massive beer, but perhaps missing out on the finer details.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of xproudfoot. Slightly hazy amber golden with an off-white head. Aroma of fruit and alcohol. Very full-bodied with notes of caramel, yeast and fruit. Very alcoholic finish - way too much. Almost a bit Tripel-like. 201006
