So just who is Ingrid? Perhaps she’s a reference to the Swedish silver screen icon or maybe it’s the line seemingly spoken by every other Swedish actress in films from the 60s and 70s (we know you know the ones we’re talking about).
One thing is certain – this Swedish inspired Double IPA is not as innocent as she at first appears. A seductive body of rich malts and a buxom amount of Citra, Nelson Sauvin and Bramling Cross hops have been added to fresh Scandinavian cloudberries to deliver this beer’s raunchy tart finish.
Designed by the readers of Swedish beer blog BeerSweden, ‘Hello, My Name is Ingrid’ is a celebration of all that is great about Sweden. It does not, however, contain any pickled herrings. Or meatballs.
Malts: Cara and Extra Pale
Hops: Bramling Cross, Centennial, Citra, Columbus and Enigma.

33 cl bottle from Systembolaget. Somewhat hazy, amber colour with medium off-white head. Smells of hops, citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruit, caramel malts and just a hint of cloudberries. Taste is medium to high bitter and dry with a little sweetness from the clouberries. Feels balanced and creamy from the cloudberries. Medium bodied with cream mouthfeel. A really nice DIPA overall, the clouberries really make this one special. Re-rating 20110923. 33 cl bottle. From the second batch. Deep amber liquid, clearer than the older one. Medium off-white head. Aroma is hoppy with notes of grapefruit, sweet fruit, tropical fruit, citrus, caramel malt and some cloudberries. Taste is light to medium sweet, medium to high bitter and a bit tart. A bit cleaner and a bit less astringent than the older one. Some taste of clouberries. Medium bodied with ok carbonation. Not that different from the previous batch, just a bit more refined.

Bottle courtesy of omhper through tarheels86, shared with Bruno at Toccalmatto. Cloudy golden color, large off white head. Aroma of citrus and lychee. Taste is grapefruit juice plus. Not sure what the plus is, but it makes the beer very interesting!

Bottled@omhper. Deep goldeny amber colour with a mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is floral and fruity hops along with some nectar, mild sourish wooden notes as well as some slight maltyness. Flavour is very fruity and nectary along with some grass as well as mild maltyness. Rather bitter, but still very much drinkable and refreshing. Balanced.
