So just who is Ingrid? Perhaps she’s a reference to the Swedish silver screen icon or maybe it’s the line seemingly spoken by every other Swedish actress in films from the 60s and 70s (we know you know the ones we’re talking about).
One thing is certain – this Swedish inspired Double IPA is not as innocent as she at first appears. A seductive body of rich malts and a buxom amount of Citra, Nelson Sauvin and Bramling Cross hops have been added to fresh Scandinavian cloudberries to deliver this beer’s raunchy tart finish.
Designed by the readers of Swedish beer blog BeerSweden, ‘Hello, My Name is Ingrid’ is a celebration of all that is great about Sweden. It does not, however, contain any pickled herrings. Or meatballs.
Malts: Cara and Extra Pale
Hops: Bramling Cross, Centennial, Citra, Columbus and Enigma.

Keg at Euston Tap, London. Pours clear amber with a small, white head. Sweet pine and rotten citrus aroma - in a good way. Flavor is outlandishly sweet. I guess it’s the berries. Plenty of hops in here. Some wet pine, melon, orange, urine (or urinal, perhaps). Full bodied, oily, with fine carbonation. Warm finish, sticky sweet, hard to say if there’s balance here as it is both damn malty and damn bitter, and oddly so in each direction. Yeah, there are some juicy berries in there. And lots of overripe citrus. Very good beer.

Bottled. An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, lemons, and cats piss. The flavor is sweet with ntoes of alcohol, malt, and berries, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

Men maffig.

Bottle outside Frank (camper) at Bromyard Folk Festival, 09.09.11 This was purchased at Beers of Europe recently Very nice beer, not too dissimilar to Hardcore but with the addition of a slight tart berry running through this. Touch sweet, but very hoppy. Like this. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.9

0.33l bottle from BrewDog webshop. Well, hello there Ingrid, my name is Palme. Ingrid has a clear dark copper body with a small sidesticking off-white head. Aroma has lots of pine, sweet fruits, dark wood and hints cortex, wood and something strange that I have no idea what could be. Average to softly carbonation level, medium to full-bodied and it has a smooth and oily mouthfeel. Flavors are quite unique. Lots and lots of malts nicely balanced with tons of hops, but it never gets to bitter. It's actually more on the fruity and sweet-side. Not to much reminding me of my mothers cloudberry-cream, but this is definitely a damn good DIPA from the crazy scots!

Bottle bought at Systembolaget on September 1. Consumed on September 3. Thanks to larsniclas for providing the bottle. Pours an amber liquid with a head that quickly disappears. Smell is of gummi candy and tropical fruit. Taste is not as rich as expected but still tastes sweet and hoppy with a slight acidity. There is also some heat from the alcohol. A good IIPA but it doesnät live up to the intense hype.

Keg at Port Street Beer House in Manchester. Lovely mouth feel, classic Brewdog flavour, can taste the cloud berries faintly. 3rd pint was enough for me though

On tap @ the Brewdog Bar, Edinburgh. Pours dark amber with a nice wee head. The nose has meadowsweet (and sweet urine if that doesn’t see too unappealing) and perhaps some green beans. The taste is more of the same, but with a bit more creamy maltiness. The palate is well balanced with a body that builds through to the middle section and then cleans nicely. Overall, a really interesting beer.

Keg @ Brewdog Glasgow. Clear amber colour, fluffy white head. Nose is pine and grapefruit. Flavour is pine hops, massive fruits, juicy. Slight sour, note of stomach acid. Fairly bitter finish. Typical Brewdog hop profile, very similar to the Hardcore IPA. Well done.
