So just who is Ingrid? Perhaps she’s a reference to the Swedish silver screen icon or maybe it’s the line seemingly spoken by every other Swedish actress in films from the 60s and 70s (we know you know the ones we’re talking about).
One thing is certain – this Swedish inspired Double IPA is not as innocent as she at first appears. A seductive body of rich malts and a buxom amount of Citra, Nelson Sauvin and Bramling Cross hops have been added to fresh Scandinavian cloudberries to deliver this beer’s raunchy tart finish.
Designed by the readers of Swedish beer blog BeerSweden, ‘Hello, My Name is Ingrid’ is a celebration of all that is great about Sweden. It does not, however, contain any pickled herrings. Or meatballs.
Malts: Cara and Extra Pale
Hops: Bramling Cross, Centennial, Citra, Columbus and Enigma.

Bottle @ home, courtesy of Nisse666. Big thanks, Thomas! Pours just a touch hazy, orangish appearance with an off white head. Kind of chewy, orange citrusy, herbal, light berry aroma. Bready, somewhat stale hoppy, herbal, a bit earthy, slightly tangy berry flavor. Kind of a cool beer- would love to try again fresh.

Cloudy nice amber colour with an off white head. Rich grape and a bit alcohol in the aroma. The ususal heavy dipa bitterness. This was batch #303 and bb 07.08.2012. So it had probably stayed too long in the bottle and missed its freshness. Deep malty background as well.

Frisk och kraftig double IPA med norrlands gyllene bär, hjortron. En trevlig överrasking och jag har sparat en flask för att se om den mognar ytterligare efter något år. Drack en flaska något år äldre vilket gjorde smaken rundare och lenare. Fruktigheten fanns kvar och det gick att ana hjortronen.

33cl bottle, batch #303, BBE 07/2012. Thanks a lot Darren!! Poured hazy amber with a white head that quickly disappeared. Aroma has caramel, tropical fruitiness and cloudberries. Flavor has dark fruits, bitter hops, caramel and tart berries. Finish is dry, and also quite sweet. Great mouthfeel though. Very easy to drink. This was surely a great beer when fresh.

Bottle from this summer. Orange colour, small head. Fruitiness from cloudberries apparent, but rather well balanced with the hops. Little too sweet, but nice anyway.

Bottle from Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Murky dark orange pour with a smallish off white head. Nose was tropical fruit and fragrant piney hop. Very sweet flavour, brought into line by some fine hoppage and interesting fruit notes. Didn’t really pick up on the cloudberry aspect though. Some tartness in the finish. overall... tis good ja!!

(Bottle. Thanks to SaintMatty) Amber colour, slightly hazy, with frothy beige head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of citric hops, grapefruit, dried apricots, treacle and gentle aromas of cloudberries. Malty, fruity taste with grapefruit, citric hops, apricots, treacle, hints of cloudberries and generous doses of resiny, citric hops in long, bitter finish. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness and a gentle alcohol burn. There is a touch of cloudberries, but hops play the main part is this lovely IPA. Makes me think of my mum, who’s name is Ingrid ... and she makes the best cloudbery jam there is. Impressive.

Dark amber...clear....average white head...good lacing.
Fruity sweet malts on the nose and a grassy citrus hop aroma.
Taste - grass hop.....sweet...fruity (cloudberries)....but not all that complex.
Palate - Syrupy...sweet.....bit acidic / tart.....sweet finish with some grassy hop.
Overall - Smooth, sweet fruity beer with grassy hops that are not as prominent / harsh as other BrewDog beers.....but gets a bit cloying after a while, however, I was glad to have tried it.
