Die aussergewöhnliche Hopfensorte POLARIS verleiht unserem unfiltrierten Kellerbier eine ganz besondere Frische und eine Geschmacksnote nach „Gletschereisbonbons“.
Während der Sud gekocht wird, erfolgt eine späte Hopfengabe mit POLARIS, danach die zweite Hopfung als Kalthopfung im Lagerkeller.
Genau das richtige Bier für den Sommer.

Bottle from Lekkerbier, Sint Nicolaasga. Grassy hoppy aroma with citrus, floral notes, pale malt, orange, hay. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and moderate to medium bitter. Medium body. Drinks a lot more like an India Pale Lager than a Kellerbier with its grassy fruity hop-forward aroma. They sure got a lot of aroma out of those Polaris hops.

Im Glas findet sich trübes und helles Gelb wieder. Überschaubare, feine bis mittelgrobe Perlage steigt hoch. Die weiße, feinporige Schaumkrone hinterlässt dabei einen sehr flaumigen und überaus langlebigen Eindruck. Die Duftaromatik zeigt sich in erster Linie sehr grasig und leicht süßlich-fruchtig bis zart exotisch. Die Tpyische Polaris-Note lässt sich dabei nur leicht wahrnehmen. Der Antrunk kommt frisch, angenehm spritzig und bringt zarte Malznoten, aber vor allem natürlich sehr frische, grasige und leicht fruchtige Noten mit. Am Gaumen nimmt man lediglich eine fast wässerig wirkende Malznote wahr. Das stört aber nicht großartig, da die bestimmt herbe sehr angenehme Hopfenaromatik mit leicht fruchtigen und vor allem frischen, grasigen Noten das Geschehen bestimmt. Die etwas kräftigere Karbonisierung passt meines Erachtens ganz gut dazu, lenkt aber nicht zu stark von den Aromen ab. Auf Mundgefühl und Süffigkeit hat dies aber letztendlich doch eine leicht negative Auswirkung. Im Nachtrunk schwingt die angenehme Hopfenaromatik mit einer absolut angemessenen Herbe sehr gut und lange nach. Auch hier kommt die Polaris-Note nur marginal in Erscheinung. Mein Fazit: Ein absolut gutes und richtig gut gehopftes IPL!

gekauft mit einer Kalea-Bierbox bei Hofer und getrunken als freitägliches Feierabendbier. Es ist ein hopfig, relativ bitteres Sommerbier, das natürlch mit dem Eiszapfenzuckerl-Aroma des Polar-Hopfen brilliert, das sich aber hier etwas zu sehr zurückhält. Man bekommt ein solides, gemütliches Sommerbier für heiße Abende, wo man aber auch Lust auf ein bsschen mehr Aroma hat. Kann man gerne empfehlen.

Bottle, free bottle from Kaufbeurer Biersalon. Color: Lightly hazy pale golden, white head. Aroma: Citrus fruit. Taste: Maltu and hoppy at the same time. Notes of lime, orange and tangerine. Just under medium body, average carbonation. Nice, light and refreshing summer beer.

Bottle picked up from Rewe Mainburg and consumed at home Sunday 26th September 2021, listening to Hamish Hawk - Heavy Elevator and cooking Gnocchi with Cherry Tomatoes, Feta, Chorizo and King Prawn. Pours hazy light yellow with a white head. Soft moutheel, light sherbet lemon, a streaky citrus runs through this. Nice 👍

330 ml bottle. Unclear pale golden, big fluffy head. Floral grassy hops, orange zest, hay, lemon, mint. Crisp hoppy bitterness. Medium bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry hoppy finish. Very crisp hoppy and chuggable Kellerpils. Nice!

10 August 2019. At Belgian Beer Geek Tasting. Cheers to the crew, thanks for hosting, Tim! Clear pale golden, lasting, thin, frothy, white head. Aroma of grapefruit juice, mango, young mandarin, pine, cheese, lime. Taste is light fruity sweet, mandarin & peach, and medium hoppy bitter, a bit grassy-piny, grapefruity & mango-like with a sourish touch. Dry, earthy hoppy finish, more grapefruit, pine, yeast, quite bitter. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Hoppy Keller, nice.

Clear pale blond beer, small creamy white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: pretty malty, bit soapy, fruity notes, grains, apricots. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: fruity start, pretty bitter, some citrus notes, hoppy, bit grassy. Aftertaste: very bitter, hoppy, malts, some medicinal bitterness. Not bad, not overwhelming either.

33cl bottle. A slightly hazy golden beer with a huge most good lasting white head. Aroma of citrus and flowery hops, pale malt. Taste of citrusy and dry flowery hops, pale malt, dry long bitter finish.
