The Duck-Rabbit Porter is very dark in color. This robust ale features a pronounced flavor of roasted grains reminiscent of dark chocolate. Also, we add oats to the grist for a round, silky mouthfeel. The malt is well balanced with hops to make this a fantastic choice for fans of traditional, robust, full-flavored beers. We’re confident that you’ll love this yummy porter!

Poured from a bottle dark chocolate brown with a slight head. The aroma is of sherried wood and tastes of chocolate with sweet overtones that lingers as coffee

Bottle shared thanks to iphonephan. Pours near black with a beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roast, toffee and a little soap. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with weird prickly carbonation.

Clear black colour, red hue, beige head. Aroma of caramel, chocolate, coffee, bit dusty. Very light bitter, roasted malts flavour. Quite thin body. Finish liquorice (drop), coffee. No Best Before Date or indication of brew date, but guess it’s not really fresh anymore.
(From 355cL bottle shared @ Ben’s place. Bought that very day @ De Molen Biershop)

355 cl. bottle sampled – courtesy of Martinus. Thx! for sharing. Dating strip is unclear to the least but this seems to be a 2008 Vintage. The beer itself reveals clear signs of age. Pours dark brown, blackish, mocha head. Nose is sweet iron, oxidation, thin fading coffee & caramel, fading malts. Taste is thinned out, bitter roast upfront, brown sugar, herbs, thin older coffee, herbs, old grains, mocha & some berries. Body is thinned out. I hope that this is better fresh because the reputation of this doesn’t correspond in any way with the quality of this. I hard good things about these guys.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle best by date June 2012, crap, poured into a shaker. Pours black with small light brown head. Nice lacing, medium body, medium carbonation, and aroma is bad vinegar. Really bad, my first drain pour, need to have this fresh to make sure.

Bottle from Total Wines, Sterling VA. Dark brown with a slight, tan head. Sweetish aroma of chocolate and dark fruits with a touch of roasted malts. Flavour had milk chocolate, caramel and coffee, with a dryish finish. Enjoyable.
