Our aromatic pilsner possesses a delicate malt flavor combined with a fine bitterness, derived from the highest quality hops from the Hallertau at a refreshing 30 IBU. The first impression on the palate is pleasant and satisfying, followed by the balanced bitterness and aroma of the hops, which is more floral than tart; with its luminously golden yellow color, this an impeccable example of a traditional Bavarian Pils.

Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Pours a clear golden colour with a nice medium sized white head that retains all the way down the glass. Aromas of hay, grass, white bread, biscuits, malts and hops. Taste is the same notes as the aroma. Very crisp, smooth slightly oily mouthfeel and a lovely fresh grassy hop finish. Really nice thirst quencher.

On tap at Weihenstephaner, pours a clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma is fairly laid back, with crisp biscuity malt and some grass. Flavour is very laid back, with bitter grassiness and crisp crackery malt. Crisp and grassy, with a decently bitter finish. Solid classic German pils.

Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Clear golden body with a white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of grain and herbs. Flavour of bitter hops and raw potato. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft fizz. This has a great, crisp finish.

Hay and malt in the aroma. Malty, flowery flavor with a good deal of hops. Firm bitter aftertaste. Fairly well made, typical Bavarian pilsener.

Bottle courtesy of our landlords Peter and Elke, cheers you two! Consumed at home Attenkirchen, Bavaria, Monday 18th March 2019. Pours gold, it's crystal clear with a white head. Clean tasting pils, subtle but noticeable hop presence, a little minerally edge to it, some grainy sweetness. It's a good Pils. Had this many, many times since, it's a very good Pils and one of my go-to Pils almost always in the beer fridges.
