Our aromatic pilsner possesses a delicate malt flavor combined with a fine bitterness, derived from the highest quality hops from the Hallertau at a refreshing 30 IBU. The first impression on the palate is pleasant and satisfying, followed by the balanced bitterness and aroma of the hops, which is more floral than tart; with its luminously golden yellow color, this an impeccable example of a traditional Bavarian Pils.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Having been to the brewery and had the unfiltered version this has a lot to live up to. Clear pale gold colour lasting white head. Good bready German lager aroma with some peppery hop aroma. Lovely aroma. Good German Bayern pils. S9me lemon and lime flavour. Good bitterness on the finish. Loved it.

500 ml bottle. Pours clear light golden, decenthead. Grass, dough, hay, some citrus. Mild bitterness for a Pils. Dry finish, watery texture, soft carbonated, light bodied. Good.

330 ml bottle from Hi-Time Wine Cellars, Costa Mesa, California. Seems strange that I have to come all the way out to the Californian coast to find a Bavarian beer after so many trips to that part of Germany over the years. Anyway I poured it into a Lowenbrau (Munchen) stemmed tulip on 4th Jan 2018, sat in the afternoon sun at my daughters place. Clear golden pour, snow white head. Hop lead in both the nose and taste giving a bitter brew with a light malt underbelly. Actually I thought this a bit weak flavour wise and similar to some cheap Pilsners I have tried (think St Pauli Girl). Luckily the Weihenstephaner Original that followed was more to my liking.

Bottle at Old Chicago.
Pours a clearish straw gold with plenty of foam that's fairly long lasting.
Smells noble hop bitterness with cracker malt and a fine spiciness.
Tastes ever so like the smell. Love the hop and malt profiles. Everything I desire in a German Pils!
Near perfect mouthfeel.
So.Damn.Good.

Shining golden color with a fine white head. Nice mellow malty aroma. Medium body and smooth carbonation level. Balanced sweetness. Felt like a powerful Czech lager. Mellow malty, mild fruity and mild herbal flavor. Lovely refreshing stuff.

Tap. Clear gold color with white head. Aroma is grainy, grassy, hopspice. Taste is earthy hopspice, grassy, a touch grainy, thin malt body. Not great.

From old tasting notes. Labeled as "Weihenstephaner Edel Pils Feinherb". Clear green, gold color. Big dense bubbly head. Fine small bead carbonation. Light sweetish malt/hop aroma. Big hoppy toasted malt flavor. Very little carbonation. The sweetness that shows upfront fades quickly and becomes dry and spicy in finish. Excellent long lasting head and lacework.
