New Beer Distributors, New York 500ml ($3.60): I just like dortmunders on hot summer days, especially when moving furniture. This is what I got with this pale golden beer without much head to speak of, but a nice hoppy and skunky aroma. Lager through and through. Sufficient hop bitterness. There are dry notes, but not as dry as a pilsener. Sweet by the end, but not too bad. This is what I wish macro lagers tasted like. Refreshing, but also with flavour.

A fairly sweet dortmunder, bordering on a heller bock in the sweetness category - still, it has the requisite semi-spicy noble hop character and moderate toasted grain flavor - fairly creamy texture - some notes of vanilla, honey, and herbs - nothing stand out, but it is hot out there right now, and this is doing the trick for me.

Pours pale gold into a stein. Bright white head quickly recedes to hug rim. Sweet cookie aromas. Sweet, crisp and dry upfront turning fruity and flat in the middle. Lasting sour cookie finish.

Golden yellow color, small vanishing white head. Grassy-herbal hoppy nose with sweetish maltyness. Honeyish, a bit buttery, herbal, some metal in the finish. Grassy and sweetish aftertaste. Low carbonation.

Bottled (from Alko, Vaasa). Deep goldeny orange colour with small foamy slightly off-white head. Aroma is sweet malts, mild herbal notes as well as some slight buttery and hoppy notes. Flavour is sweet malts, some slight herbal notes, hops as well as some rather metallic notes in the finish. It would be very pleasant, if the metallic notes wouldn’t be there.

Orange beer with light white head. Aroma is purely malty, grass, quite fresh and even slightly flowery. Falvour is malty and sweet, quite long and only hint of hops. Easy and nicely smooth to drink. Basic helles, quite sweet without surprises, but still quite refreshing and nice beer.

Funked aroma of horse piss. Hazy golden, no head. Refreshing grassy hay flavor. Tastes pilsnerish. Celery finish. Lacking in many ways, but I would definitely drink it again.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a lacing white head. Vague hoppy aroma. Flavour starts sweet and mild fruity. Soon goes into a more herb bitterness with a dry flavour. Simple bitter and dry finish. Crisp and clean.
