Bottle: Clear golden pour with lots of bubbles and a small white head. Nose is sweet with maltiness and honey, a little bit of earth tones. Taste is sweet and grassey, a little hops present, light florals, and remains rather light bodied. My first in this style, not too shabby.

Bottle. Golden, light pearling carbonation, frothy head. Fairly aromatic nose - honey and flowers, a bit spice. Floral notes, somewhat salty relatively light base. Fresh Helles.

Pour is a golden with a white head. Aroma is lots of grain and very doughy. Flavor is very decent. Lots of dry malts that balance a nice sweet hop. A very clean tasting beer. This brewer is one of my favs from Germany.

500 mL bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville, VA. A bit of a gusher. Pours a clear golden color with a medium head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma is sweet grains with very faint grassy hops. Taste is sweet grains, bread, light corn and a faint bitter, metallic hop finish. Thin-medium bodied. 5/4/6/3/12

Bottle. A little disappointing considering the other Ettaler products I’ve tried. Golden color, thin head. Very easy drinking, but has substance behind it. The taste wasn’t necessarily citrusy, but did, oddly, remind me of 7-UP. 5/4/6/4/12

Bottle, 5.2%. Clear golden colour, small white head. Sparkling. The flavour is just a rather rough bitterness, nothing much else.

This was actually good. The low percentile score is more about bias against lighter bodied lagers than an accurate description of the quality of this session beer. It is on the light side, but there is some bread and dry malt. It does taste like a helles should, some malt body but also something you can drink in long sessions. Gold color, substantial head.

An orange beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet hoppy and malty, combined with light caramel notes. The flavor is sweet with primary notes of caramel and a good hoppiness, leading to a dry and lightly bitter end.

(Bottle 50 cl) Fully golden with a creamy, white head. Malty nose. Fairly full-bodied with a great, malty feel and a surprisingly bitterness for a Helles. 120206
