Think: fresh baked rye bread in a bottle with a hint of lemon and spice from the hops and yeast.

Nice beer. Great aroma, like the deScription - rye bread with a hint of lemon. Flavor’s like nose, bittersweet. Very drinkable.

Smell of cognac, grain, rye. Muddy brown colour, light brown head. Aroma of rye, grain, alcohol, syrup. Sweet, medium bitter. Oily texture, medium body. Surprisingly heavy for being 5.5. Flat carbon.

Bottle, 22oz. An amber colored beer, lightly unclear, and topped by a big, dense, light beige colored head. Rather lemony aroma with some bready hints, spiced and cellarish. Too much carbonation, it’s medium to full-bodied and semi-dry. Caramel hints, some spiced, bready notes and lemon. Lasting finish. Rather weird this one, but sort of nice anyway. 141228

Bomber from the Utah State store on Harris in Salt Lake City. Pours very hazy orange amber. Slight white head. Aroma of rye spice and fruit. Med body or better. Flavor is rye spice and fruit - arguably citrus. It’s malty. But it’s not sweet malty. So back to rye and rye spice. It’s not super strongly flavored, but it’s very flavorful. If you like rye, you should like this. Makes me long for pastrami on rye.
