In the spirit of traditional Belgian brewing we’ve departed from style-constraints to bring you a fresh take on the popular European style, the Belgian Amber. This big, complex, amber-hued ale was brewed with a substantial amount of Belgian and European malts that complement the spiciness imparted by Belgian abbey yeast. The result is a perfect balance between rich, toasty maltiness, Belgian Candi sugar and the light, floral profile of European hops. Enjoy this hearty Belgian-inspired brew now or age at a cool temperature to increase its complexities.

Bottle at hotel lobby fart share @RBWG 2016. Clear light copper liquid with small to medium off-white head. Aroma of raw sugar, light raisins, light banana, red berries, caramel and toffee. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter with notes of toffee, raw sugar and light port wine. Medium to full bodied with medium carbonation. Nice.

Bottle. Copper beer with a dark cream head. Bubblegum and yeast aroma with light spice. Malt and light spice flavor with light yeast. Medium bodied. Malt and light spice lingers with light yeast and light fruitiness.

Bottled. An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, malt, caramel, and fruits. The flavor is sweet peaches, pineapple, malt, caramel, alcohol, and citrus fruits, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

Capped 750 from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours translucent copper with a slight beige head. Aroma is candi and fruits de bois. Full bodied or nearly. Flavor is a fruit/tart thing forward, followed by yeast/spice and light treacle. Yet it’s not all that light in terms of malt, just in the taste thinggummy. If the goal was to be an ale that might have been created in Belgium, I think they nailed this firmly to the wall. It’s not easy to describe, but, hey, that’s so often the case with the amazing Belgian beers.

Bottle 750ml. [ As AleSmith Decadence 2015 ].Clear medium yellow - amber orange color with a small, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, pale malt, sweet malt, light wood - tobacco, light yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, fruity malt, bread - cookie - candy sugar, sweet yeast. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20151228]

Bottle@Yesprs - Orange pour with medium white head. Sweet fruity and malty aroma and taste, some sweet caramel and toffee notes, dark dried fruit medley, brown sugar, pretty sweet overall. Not bad.
