Belgian Style - Strong Ale Special Out of Production|

In the spirit of traditional Belgian brewing we’ve departed from style-constraints to bring you a fresh take on the popular European style, the Belgian Amber. This big, complex, amber-hued ale was brewed with a substantial amount of Belgian and European malts that complement the spiciness imparted by Belgian abbey yeast. The result is a perfect balance between rich, toasty maltiness, Belgian Candi sugar and the light, floral profile of European hops. Enjoy this hearty Belgian-inspired brew now or age at a cool temperature to increase its complexities.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Hazy amber, creamy head. Caramelly nose. Sweet with medium-full body and rounded mouthfeel. Heavy on caramel, somewhat herbal . Low bitterness. Simplistic .

Might be a little late to \"this\" party, but I think I get it and thanks to proper aging by good cohorts.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a hazy to transparent semi-burnt amber color with a slim finger’s worth of white sticky /foamy head that dissipated pretty slowly. Messy sticky lacing.
The smell starts off with some sweet Belgian malts, light raisins, light breadiness, assorted dark fruits - somewhat.
The taste took all of those previously mentioned flavors to combine nicely. Semi-sticky dark fruity aftertaste running into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly light allowing the malts to cling on my tongue.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good Belgian Strong pale ale that I could have again.

A very beautiful beer, a dark red with a brown notes, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has riped fruits, fruit-dry cake, flowers and some sweetness of honey. Taste has riped fruitness, plums, perries, some flowers, balanced sweetness, also some bitterness. Medium bodied, low carbonation, easy to drink despite of strong alcohol %. The great beer is also this 2015 version, sophisticated and balanced.

750ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey golden colour with small to average, frothy, fairly lasting and lacing, white head. Malty aroma with hints of caramel and toast, dried banana, a mildly spicy yeasty touch. Taste is toasty malty, some caramel, dried banana. Not overly complex, somehow incomplete.

On tap. Pours a super dark mahogany with full nitro head. Aromas of dark fruit and dusty nutty chocolate. Flavors of earthy fruit, dark metallic and yeasty phenols, light chocolate, and nuts. Creamy and complex.

Tasting at Matt’s
Hazy red amber color, large head. This is a cloying sweet beer, with a strong presence of that fake American Belgian yeast, creating a feeling of anise in the aroma, and soapy flavor.
Undrinkable.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy dark copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out candied sugar, a touch of Belgian yeast, and biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with Belgian yeast and candied sugar in good balance. A little boozy and lacking complexity. It's decent, but not on the level of regular AleSmith beers.
