With our 2XIPA, a massive dry hop brings a feverishly hoppy and well-balanced Double IPA. Citrusy hops tease the senses with big aromatics and certifiable bitterness. An enormous haul of hops, including Simcoe and Citra, deliver notes of grapefruit, lemon and doughy sweetness. Double your expectations because this is an ale that demands reverence.

33 cl. bottle sampled @ Delirium Hoppy Loft: A: hazy, opaque yellow instead of the usual orange with a nicely lacing but not terribly lasting white head S: usual grapefruit & pine resin bitterness but balanced greatly by a spice/lemon acidity/zest T: follows smell, upfront pine & grapefruit which get overpowered in the aftertaste by citric hops & some lemon sourness with spices blended wit hit B: light & very drinkable, starts apart from the usual IPA & IIPa fare which occasionally does get a bit samey, this one has something different going & it is delicious as well

Draught at VilleValla Pub. Hazy, light orange/yellow liquid with big off-white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruit, pine resin, caramel, lemon grass, lime and some wet hay (like most hoppy ST beers). Taste is dry, medium to highly bitter, citrusy (lemon/lime) and quite light for a DIPA. Medium bodied with OK carbonation. OK DIPA but not super impressive. Felt a bit off.

355 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar,Stavanger. ABV is 8.2%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Nice aroma of citrussy American hops. Distinct flavour of citrussy and resinous American hops, fairly dry. Light bodied for its strength. Dangerously drinkable. Oh dear, was the bottle empty already?

On Tap at Brewforia, Meridian, ID. Clear deep golden with a full fluffy and lasting off-white head. Very attractive glass. Light malty aroma with faint sweet honey and light citrus hop notes. Flavor is light and sweet like warms buttered honey wheat toast. I am surprised they are calling this a Double. Kind of. Citrusy and clean is right. Very nice

355 ml bottle @ Melkebaren, Sandnes. Amost clear, golden body with a small white head. Nice citric aroma dominated by grapefruit. Flavor is sweet malt, quite bitter and grapefruit with some caramel. Medium body. Aftertaste feels more dry and bitter. Not really complex or balanced, but a very nice IIPA beer for the hopheads.

Keg at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell, London. A darkish golden coloured pour with a small off white head. Hoppy, fruity aroma. Tastes hoppy, grapefruit, slight bitterness. I wouldn’t consider this to be a Double IPA. Still quite drinkable though.
