With our 2XIPA, a massive dry hop brings a feverishly hoppy and well-balanced Double IPA. Citrusy hops tease the senses with big aromatics and certifiable bitterness. An enormous haul of hops, including Simcoe and Citra, deliver notes of grapefruit, lemon and doughy sweetness. Double your expectations because this is an ale that demands reverence.

4 oz. draft sample at B&D gastropub. Pours clear light golden with medium bright white head. Aroma is citrus hops, medium/light body, and thin small bubble lacing. Tate is light citrus hops, some herbal hops, and light bitter finish.

Bottle from Hippo Beers. Hazy pale golden body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Light lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, lemon and lime. The taste is bittersweet, hoppy, dry and a bit unbalanced. Flavour of cake, tinned peaches and lime sweets. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. There’s too much malt sweetness here for my liking.

Draft at a tasting event. From notes. Citrus and pine hops dominate. Pretty darn good beer.

More citrus than cedar in flavor though the latter does lurk around in there. Bit soapy which rubs off on texture. Good bitterness upfront

On tap at New England Tap house Grille. Comes to the table a slightly hazy light golden color with a smallish off white head that persists. Smells of hops, yeah no shit right? Pine and citrus with a bit of grapefruit and resin, light bready caramel malt provides a hint of balance. The flavor is fruity hops with lots of citrus and pine and a bit of caramel to round it all out. Solid but smooth hop bitterness. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a slick resinous mouthfeel. Nice smooth flavorful IPA, I really enjoyed this.

Golden orange pour with smallish white head. Somewhat light body with nicely balanced malts and hop bite. Caramel and pale malt give way to lemon, citrus, some pine and a bit of peppery spice. On the dry side in the finish. Great, drinkable dipa that kept the sweetness of an imperial to a minimum and ended more like a typical ipa.

12 oz. bottle. Light gold color, with a big, bubbly, off-white head. The aroma is white bread, resin, honey, lime, and some light minerals. Malty sweetness and good bitterness. Very nicely balanced. This is a nice, light, flavorful IPA. Not very aggressively hopped, but tasty.
