Bottle - Citrus and some pine nice malt sweetness. Clear gold with a thin white head. Hit of bitterness and bit of booze, pine and a nice malt backbone. Medium body and some tropical fruit in the mix. Overall a nice 2IPA.

Small white head with shards of lace; clear, pale orange-copper beer, well-carbonated. Fruity nose with grapefruit, lytchee, passion fruit and muscat; also succade. Quite bitter, and also similarily fruity. Citruspeel, succadehints if not sweet. Hopoils abundant; bit of cookies, again all but bereft of sweetness. Something of green tea too. Well-carbonated, medium bodied, and quite slidk. Refreshing despite the oils. Nice DIPA.

bottle @ home, purchased in hopduvel ghent ( belgium) pours clear orange, white foam . smells is hoppy, bit fruity, juicy , touch of bitter hops in there as well . taste is VERY juicy. i do get bitterness, but the fruityness kinda ’overkills’ it . dont get me wrong, that IS a good thing ! very drinkable. very good mouthfeel. american beers tend to always have perfect carbo, unlike the belgians, who always seriously overdo it . call me crazy, but i do believe i was born in the wrong country ! ( accept if it comes to cantillon, 3 F , and struise ) anyway, back to this beer ! hops fade away , fruityness comes even more in in the aftertaste. overall, a new top 5 IIPA for me ! doesnt beat heady, but beats most of all the others i’ve had ...

It poured a hazy golden yellow/orange color and gave the same color body with a one inch white head that dissipated within thirty seconds. Some slight spider web lacing was left. The smell had the citrus up front with the pine and the hops came in strong but slightly in the background. The taste had the hops combining with the pine and the malts subtlely. The palate was about a medium with nothing harsh on the tongue. Overall, personally, I think this was just an average double IPA. I’d probably seek other double IPA’s before this.
