Handpull cask at the Kings Head, Leicester. Mid- to dark gold, hazy with a tight white head. Light citrus and scratchy hay in the uninspiring aroma. Taste is better with a sweet, golden-syrup laden intro followed with a bit of citrus zest and honey. Some balancing bitterness on the finish. A bit unwieldy but all in all a good drink

13/10/2019. Cask at the Briarbank, Ipswich. Poured slightly hazy golden with a small off-white head. Aroma of malt, hops, fruit, grain and a light herbal grassy edge. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Disappointing.

Bottle, many thanks Andrew! Hazy amber color with white head. Aroma is cheesy, grapefruity, toffee, toasted malts, herbal. Taste is the same, with a nice grapefruity finish. Medium carbonation. Solid, the taste is better than the aroma.

Cask @ Alexandra Beer House, Halifax. Clear golden with a creamy head. Smooth with light grainy malts that linger. It’s sugary in its nose in this respect.

Bottle. Pours cloudy, amber, a white foamy head. Aromas of malts, lots of toffee, hoppy hints. Medium mouthfeel, plenty of malt, raisin, hop bitterness, some caramel and toffee. Ok.

ChrisOs Early December Tasting. Hazy gold beer, tiny white head. Light dry palate. Floral notes with a trace of citrus. Dry dry finish and much too dry overall.
