Look at any 90’s brew pub menu and you’ll probably find a blonde ale — a trite stand in for a Pilsner in most cases. Here at CM we invigorate the style by hopping a light wheat & Pilsner malt base with nouveau hops (Galaxy, Mosaic & Motueka). How would we describe the difference? Think of it like this: it’s like Justin Timberlake now as opposed to the N’Sync Justin.

On tap at Cellarmaker. A mostly clear bright yellow golden coloured pour with a lasting loose white head. Aroma is nice lemon citrus Hoo, little danky hop, light grains. Flavour is composed of light grains, little wheat, nelson sauvin like hop, citrus lemon. Assertive clean citrus hop bitterness. Palate is light and crisp, highish carbonation. Not sure this should be a golden.

The beer is a pale, cloudy yellow. Solid looking head. It’s white. Lots of lacing and good retention. Aroma is pretty mild. Tangerine hop flavors. Clean, fresh malt. Lightly bitter. Very light on the palate. Easy to drink. Very refreshing beer.

On tap at Cellarmaker. It pours a semi hazy pale yellow color with a white head. The aroma has grassy hops, citrus, a little dank, mango and vanilla wafers. The flavor is dank, spicy and grassy. Massive hop flavor. Mild spicy bitterness in the finish. A little denser body than expected considering the ABV, but overall light on the palate with some crackers and grainy malt. Crushable.
