Bottle in Salzburg, Austria. Clear deep brown beer. Very sweet malt dominates. A dry sweet malt finish. My sweet tooth can handle this but I think many would find this too much.

09/01 0.5 l bottle courtesy of ogivlado, thanks for sharing! It poured dark red to brown body with smaller brownish head. Weak aroma, some caramel with touch of coffee. Flavor of caramel, sweet sugar, some hints of coffee. Medium body with longer sweet sugary finish. Maybe a bit too sweet, even for the style and somehow fake, but I don’t have nothing against Doppelmalzes, so this was OK to me.

Bottled(500ml). -Reddish/brown coloured, medium sized cappuccino head, quite weak caramel nose. Very sweet caramel and molasses taste with notes of metal in the finish. I’m not (so) big "malzfan" only because of heavy sweetness.

0.5l bottle courtesy of ogivlado who brought it from Austria (thanks!), shared with him and heavy Poured a brown/red body with a a medium-big thick white head that went away fast. Weak nose, some coffee and dust, slightly lactic, chocolate? The taste is very sweet, caramel and coffee, some fake chocolate. Soft soapiness, weak notes of metal. Umm, not impressed.

Bottle: Reddish-amber coloured with a small lacy beige head; delicate sweetish-caramelly nose with a light bitter-malty touch; light to moderate sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; sweet-malty finish with a very, very light bitterness in the very end. A bit on the sweet side, but not too unpleasant.......

(bottle) Clear, mahogany colour with a mid-sized, collapsing light-beige foamy head. Sweet and nutty toast-malty nose with shades of caramel. Sweet flavour, light bodied with a moderate, slightly crispy carbonation. Toast-malty taste with residual malty sweetness; quite plain and sweet, slightly toasted finish. Rather imbalanced Dunkel, which tastes like a Hvidøl with more alcohol, thus a tad too sweet for my liking (26.08.08).

Draught. Very dark brown with a stable medium beige head. Malty aroma with some roastiness and caramel. Sweet flavor of malt and caramel with a slightly drier finish with notes of roasted malt. Doesn’t exactly taste like a Dunkel. Medium-bodied. Not bad.
