The light and compact foam characterizes this top-fermented ale. The opalescence is due to the typical un-malted cereals used in brewing. The taste of floral lavender, well balanced by the malt and the freshness of the hops, give life to this drinkable elegant ale. Spiced with Maiella flowers.

Cloudy blond color; generous head. The aroma is lemony and herbal. Weak mouthfeel, dry, with herbal (rosemary) flavor, ordinary bitterness. Not a beer for me.

Bottle 75 cl. RBESG Rome 2010. Pours an almost clear golden with a white head. Fresh ginger aroma. Light body, dry fruit with a very lively carbonation, again fresh ginger notes. The finish is dry. Quite refreshing. 070610

On tap. RBESG Rome 2010. Hazy and opaque golden with an off-white head leaving laces. Extremely perfumy nose - coriander and lavender. Light body with plenty of fruit and then again notes that mostly resemble a bar of soap. Astringent finish. Blah. 5/3/5/2/9=2.4 050610

5th June 2010 - Draft at Open Baladin. Cloudy amber beer made with ’flowers from the village’!! Very floral perfumey nose. Light dry palate. Not much carbonation. Sweetish floral notes and then a little sweet fruit before the dry finish. Perfumed flowery beer but it kinda works! I’m in a minority in thinking so!
