BORIS #100 was made with the finest English Pale Ale malt instead of our usual American malt, to celebrate brewing the 100th. batch of BORIS The Crusher Oatmeal-Imperial Stout. This adds a slightly sweeter and truly traditional flavor for this truly bodacious English-style Imperial Stout, our flagship beer! Made in extremely limited quantites.

Bottle, 22oz. It pours a black body under a minimal sized tan head. Oily. Coffee, roasted malts, some licorice and a touch of dark chocolate in the aroma. The flavor is coffee-ish, roasted and with a solid dose of licorice. Some dark dried fruits too. Full-bodied, semi-sweet and nicely carbonated. Quite dry. Lasting roasted finish with coffee. A nice and tasteful one, that’s for sure. 120218

Thanks to Sparky for sharing this rare treat. It pours dark mahogany with mocha head and dark sheets of legginess clinging to the glass. The aroma is sweet with molasses and some caramel malts mixing with dark roasted malts, spicy black licorice and some coffee bean oiliness. The taste is sweet and smooth with lingering residual sugars, winter cookie spiciness, molasses, dark roasted coffee and chocolate. These notes mingle harmlessly into the finish. Darn tasty
