An explosion of tart, fruity flavors will erupt in your senses as you take your first sip of this perfectly balanced wheat beer. The sensation can only be matched by the brilliant aroma from dry hopping with massive amounts of Amarillo and Motueka hops.

Sample at Daily Growler Powell during the "Second Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest" on 10/22/2015. Hazy orange-gold color with a medium thin off-white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing. Aroma of tropical fruit, hops and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of citrus, herbal wheat, hops and malt. The finish is fruity with a mild hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

(Draught at Hopfenreich, Berlin, 16 July 2015) Golden amber colour, hazy, with frothy white head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of grass, citrus and bread. Malty, hoppy taste with bread, grass, citrus, hay and a dry finish with a balanced grassy/citric bitterness. Fresh and tasty, with a nice hop character. Quite nice.

Bottle. Why do we waste a wheat beer by putting hops in it? Whatever. This is a white ipa baby. If you like that new terrible style, this is right on nastily target. Long bitter sharper ipa linger. Just not as mouth coating as most ipa perhaps.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 1/14/2015. Pours hazy orange/amber color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Incredible appearance. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, light banana, clove, wheat, bread, light honey, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus hops, pale malt, and light-moderate fruity/spicy yeast notes; with good strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, light banana, clove, wheat, bread, light honey, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-monderate pine/grassy bitterness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon/orange zest, light pine, light banana, clove, wheat, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice robustness and complexity of citrus hops, bready malt, and light-moderate fruity/spicy yeast flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy, and lightly crisp/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent hoppy pale wheat ale style. All around great robustness, complexity, and balance of citrus hops, pale malt, and light-moderate fruity/spicy yeast flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has a nice combination of bitter citrus hops and sweet wheat with a bit of tropical fruit. Flavor starts with bitter citrus and finishes with sweet wheat and some tropical fruits.
