2017 re-rate. 2016 bottle from West Side. Cocoa and treacle nose with faint chocolate and fruit aromas. Thin-bodied, but big plum and prune notes with some light peach and cream then a rush of chocolate and bourbon. Quite fruity and easy drinking for an imperial stout. Where is the alcohol seriously?! Old rating. Bomber from Old Town. Pours a deep dark brown with a thin beige head. Good lacing throughout. Aromas of vanilla, bourbon, milk chocolate and licorice. Nice big body with medium carbonation and an oily mouthfeel. Slightly warming on the finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Dragon’s Milk on 12 Jan 2017 at 21:27 - Score: 8.
