Runder Doppelbock. 9/9/10/12/11/11

Brown colour with a quick vanishing off white head. Strange parfumed and malty aroma. Rich caramel malt and some fruity grape flavour.

33 cl bottle, BBE 15.07.2012
Aroma is sweet with lots of malt and hints of solvent‐like alcohol. Flavour has malt, solvent and hints of berries. Drinkable, although the alcoholic savours are rather strong.

Small yellow rim; ruby-red beer. Deep bready and liquorice taste, bit of tobacco, holly. Sweet, oxydated, leafy, but dry finish with dark spices and clear dark malts. Slick, bit syrupy; banana and sweet green vegetables in the aftertaste. Pity about the oxydation, but the yeast has been able to carry out a full fermentation, hence better attenuated and balanced than a lot of Doppelbocks. Many thanks to Stef!
