Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a clear nutty brown with a beige head. Heavy butter aroma, caramel too. Medium body, sweet caramel and a little roast, the smokiness comes out now. Dry and hoppy finish. Shame about the buttery aroma. 030511

50cl bottle @ Pivnice Helsinky(Hostina), Helsinki. Poured dark brown color with large and foamy white head. Aroma is smoked malt and bacon. Flavor is slightly sweet with more bacon. So much bacon it covered the rest of the flavor pretty much. Long smokey finish. Too much meat for me. Overall quite drinkable if you get over the aroma.

0.5l bottle at Haket, courtesy of gnoff (thanks!) Poured a pitch black body with an off white head. Grain, rice crispies and some smoked cheese in the nose. Light, smoky, yoghurty soft taste, very pleasant. A nice surprise to find it but not the best Czech smoked I’ve had (out of two?).

50 cl bottle at Haket, on September 24, 2010BB 27.02.11Almost black, very dark red color, small tan head. Smoke and roasted, rather fresh scent, also sweet with some chewy minty caramel. Smoke, sweet. caramel, rather smooth, some chocolate, also grainy taste. Smooth mouthfeel, but also to the thin side. Smoke and chocolate aftertaste. Hints of butterscotch also in both scent and taste. Low bitterness. Not the best smoked beer, but more than OK, I’d drink it again for sure.

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, dark brown colour with a tanned and thick foamy head. Mildly smoked and toasted malty aroma with notes of caramel and smoked ham. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Toast-malty taste with caramel and initially just a whiff of smoke; sweet malty and slightly bitter hoppy finish with lasting smokey notes in the aftertaste. Balanced smoke-beer. 18.VIII.10

Bottle (Diky Quack-Duckovi!): Deep ruby amber coloured, clear, persistent and lacy loose off-white head; caramelly-sweetish nose with an aroma of smoked ham in the background; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, nearly medium bodied; lingering sweet-bitter finish, smoke and hops included. A "smoked dandy"; well done...

bottle, traded with pivero - Thanks a lot! Deep bronw colour, nearly black, beige head. Sweetish-smoky nose. Caramel, dark malts, roasted malts, chocolate and a touch of smoke are detectable. The smoke flavours are not as intensive as in a Franconian Smoked, but add a nice touch to this beer. Perhaps a bit sweet, but nevertheless pleasant.
