This is not a sour beer, this is not a funky brettanomyces influenced ale. It’s a classically flavored modern saison fermented with the Saison DuPont yeast. Brewed with wheat and Vienna malts and hopped with American Santiam and Vanguard, this is an easy drinking, nourishing warm weather ale.

From tap at Cellarmaker, San Francisco. Aroma is peppery saison yeast, citrussy fruits, bready malt. Touch of bubble gum. Light tart and sweet, dry finish. Body is medium. Kinda Dupont-like, no surprise they used their yeast. Good.
